Moodle (A course management system to help educators to create online learning communities) - Moodle is "a free, Open Source software package designed using sound pedagogical principles, to help educators create effective online learning communities." Because of its versatility, moodle allows teachers to create anything from a single course site for a single class to a major university site to manage thousands of students. Since its creation, moodle has spread to over 193 countries and 75 different languages. School systems have seen the benefits and have taken steps to incorporate moodle into their learning environments. Likewise, major universities have also begun plans for the incorporation of moodle. And, it is free to use!
